| We seek intelligent critical articles written in a clear, readable style that offer our readers thoughtful, useful, pedagogically sound, and innovative ideas to teach American literature. We publish five to six articles of 2500 to 9000 words in each online issue of TAL, which appears quarterly. Brief book reviews and articles of fewer than 2500 words for our "How Do You Do It?" feature also are welcome, as are books for review. We have a blind review process, but our in-house editors make all final decisions regarding publication. The journal is indexed by Ebscohost's Education Research Complete. It also will be indexed in the usual databases in the near future. |
